A live camera over the Zócalo, the vast main square of Mexico City, from the long-running Webcams de México network.

The Zócalo, officially the Plaza de la Constitución, is one of the largest city squares in the world. It sits on top of the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan, and is framed by the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace and the ruins of the Templo Mayor just around the corner.

A giant Mexican flag flies in the center and is raised and lowered every day by the army. The square hosts concerts, protests and festivals, and fills up for Independence night on September 15 and the Day of the Dead parade.

Live streams sometimes pause for maintenance or bad weather. We check every camera regularly and hide those that go offline.
