Grand Canal near the Scalzi Bridge live cam

A 4K live camera on the Grand Canal near the Scalzi Bridge and the train station, filmed from a canal-side terrace.

This camera looks out over the Grand Canal near the Ponte degli Scalzi, the stone bridge in front of Santa Lucia railway station, where most visitors get their first view of Venice. Vaporetto water buses, water taxis, delivery boats and gondolas pass constantly in front of the old palaces.

Morning brings the busiest boat traffic as the city is supplied by water, while the evening light turns the facades golden. On the first Sunday of September, the Historical Regatta passes along this stretch of the canal.
