A 4K live camera trained on Arthur's Seat, the extinct volcano that rises right out of the middle of Edinburgh.
Arthur's Seat is a 251-meter extinct volcano inside Holyrood Park, a short walk from the bottom of the Royal Mile. Below the summit run the Salisbury Crags, a line of red cliffs that geologists have studied since the 18th century. Hikers reach the top in under an hour for one of the best views in Scotland.
Edinburgh weather can show all four seasons in one day, and this camera catches it all: low cloud rolling over the summit, bright spring sun on the gorse and the occasional dusting of snow. In midsummer it stays light until nearly 11 at night.
Live streams sometimes pause for maintenance or bad weather. We check every camera regularly and hide those that go offline.
