Sea Point & Lion's Head live cam

A live camera looking over the seaside suburb of Sea Point toward Lion's Head, one of Cape Town's best-loved peaks.

Sea Point stretches along the Atlantic shore just west of central Cape Town, with a long seafront promenade where locals walk, jog and watch the sunset. Behind it rises Lion's Head, a 669-meter peak that hikers climb before dawn and at full moon.

Cape Town is 1 or 2 hours ahead of London, so the time difference is small. Watch for the 'tablecloth' of cloud that pours over the mountains when the summer south-easter wind blows.

Live streams sometimes pause for maintenance or bad weather. We check every camera regularly and hide those that go offline.
