Amsterdam Central Station, opened in 1889, stands on artificial islands in the IJ, the broad waterway that separates the old city from Amsterdam-Noord. Free ferries shuttle back and forth across the water around the clock, and trains, trams and bikes pour in and out of the station all day.

Beyond the station, the towers and gabled rooftops of the medieval center stretch toward the canal ring. Watch the light on the water at sunset, and the sea of bicycles at the morning rush hour.

Live streams sometimes pause for maintenance or bad weather. We check every camera regularly and hide those that go offline.
