A live camera on the Obelisco, the landmark monument at the heart of Buenos Aires on Avenida 9 de Julio.
The Obelisco was built in 1936 to mark 400 years since the first founding of Buenos Aires, and stands where Avenida Corrientes crosses Avenida 9 de Julio, one of the widest avenues in the world. It is the city's meeting point and the place where fans gather to celebrate football victories.
Corrientes, the street of theaters, bookshops and pizzerias, stays busy late into the night. Buenos Aires is 3 or 4 hours behind London, and dinner rarely starts before 9 p.m.
