Waikiki was once a retreat for Hawaiian royalty and is now Honolulu's famous beach district, a two-mile strip of sand lined with hotels and backed by the volcanic crater of Diamond Head. Surfers have ridden its gentle waves since the days of Duke Kahanamoku.

Hawaii is 10 hours behind London and does not change its clocks, so the sun rises over Waikiki in the late afternoon European time. Sunsets here are a daily event, and on Friday nights there are often fireworks off the beach.

Live streams sometimes pause for maintenance or bad weather. We check every camera regularly and hide those that go offline.
