Malmö, in southern Sweden, is a young, multicultural city linked to Copenhagen by the Öresund Bridge. It combines a historic center with sustainable new districts by the sea.
Old town
Stortorget and Lilla Torg are cobbled squares lined with old buildings and restaurants. Malmöhus Castle, Scandinavia's oldest surviving Renaissance castle, houses museums and is surrounded by parks.
Western Harbour
The Western Harbour, a former shipyard, is now an eco-friendly district dominated by the twisting Turning Torso skyscraper. Ribersborg beach has a historic open-air bathhouse with saunas.
