Munich Walking Tour: The Heart of Bavaria

A complete tour of Munich's old town. It starts at Stachus and the Karlstor gate, passes St. Michael's Church and the twin domes of the Frauenkirche to Marienplatz, with the New Town Hall and its Glockenspiel, the Fish Fountain and the Old Town Hall, then visits the Viktualienmarkt, the City Museum and the ornate Asam Church.

The second half goes from the Alter Hof and the Platzl past the Residenz and Max-Joseph-Platz to Odeonsplatz and the Feldherrnhalle, through the Hofgarten to the Haus der Kunst, and ends watching the river surfers on the Eisbach wave at the edge of the English Garden.
