Quiet Dawn Walk along Philosopher's Path

Kyoto's Philosopher's Path before dawn, without the crowds. The walk starts in the Ginkaku-ji neighbourhood and follows the stone path along its little canal for about 2 km, meeting the local cats along the way and passing small temples such as Kōun-ji.

At the southern end it reaches Nanzen-ji and its brick Suirokaku aqueduct, then follows the canal further before returning to the temple. A peaceful, almost silent early-morning walk.
