Kyoto Dawn Drive

Kyoto at dawn, before the city wakes, filmed in May 2026. The drive starts on the Shijō Bridge, passes Hanamikōji Street in Gion, Kennin-ji and the Yasaka Shrine, the giant torii of the Heian Shrine, and follows Kiyamachi Street along the canal.

It then heads west across the city to the Matsuo Taisha shrine, the Togetsukyō Bridge in Arashiyama, Seiryō-ji and the preserved old street of Saga-Toriimoto, ending at the Atago Shrine torii.
