New York City Walking Tour: Harlem

A late-afternoon walk through central Harlem on Saturday 27 May 2023, starting at 5:15 pm on West 125th Street, the neighbourhood's main commercial street and home of the Apollo Theater. From there it turns onto Malcolm X Boulevard and the residential blocks of West 123rd Street, then follows Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard back to 125th.

The final stretch takes in St. Nicholas Avenue and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, avenues named, like Malcolm X Boulevard, after figures of Black American history. Filmed on a phone, it is less polished than the big channels but gives an honest street-level view of everyday Harlem.
