Little India is the center of Singapore's Indian community, a bright, busy neighborhood of spice shops, flower garland stalls, gold jewelers and temples. Nearby Kampong Glam, the historic Malay-Muslim quarter, is just a short walk away.

Serangoon Road

Serangoon Road is the main street, home to the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, with its colorful tower of carved gods. The Tekka Centre has a wet market, a hawker centre and textile shops, and the colorful Tan Teng Niah house is a favorite photo spot. Mustafa Centre is a giant shopping complex open 24 hours.

Kampong Glam

In Kampong Glam, the golden-domed Sultan Mosque stands at the end of Bussorah Street. Haji Lane and Arab Street are full of street art, cafés and boutiques.
