Le Marais, Where History, Art and Fashion Blend

A slow walk through the Marais on a mild spring afternoon, filmed on 22 March 2026 at about 15°C. It starts on the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville and follows Rue des Archives, Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie and Rue du Temple into the heart of the district, then along Rue des Francs-Bourgeois and Rue Vieille du Temple, the two streets most visitors know.

The quieter second half finds the aristocratic side of the Marais, around Place de Thorigny, Rue Payenne and Rue Pavée, before reaching Rue des Rosiers, the main street of the old Jewish quarter, and finishing on Rue François Miron and Rue Saint-Antoine.
