Ouro Preto, the old gold-mining town of Minas Gerais, with its steep stone streets and baroque churches. The walk starts at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, built by enslaved Black brotherhoods, follows Getúlio Vargas Street to its lookout, and wanders São José Street past a museum of local stories and a crafts fair.
It reaches Tiradentes Square with the statue of the independence hero and the Inconfidência Museum, visits the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and its lookout, and ends at the soapstone crafts fair and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi.
